Some readers have inquired about Nugget, who featured so prominently in my blogs this past summer, and how she was doing these days. Having her as our company saved us from poor mental health during Ramadan.
She's not much of a kitten anymore. Nugget weighs in about 7 or 8 lbs now and has grown into her ears and tail, but her claws, which can double as meat hooks, have remained huge.
She lodged herself in my carryon when we came back from Scotland as if to say, "If you're thinking of leaving me behind again - don't...". Actually, she received excellent care from Dr. Carlito at Green Crown Veterinary in Khobar. We boarded her for 18 days and she was in perfect health when we came back.
I was a little concerned that she might contract a respiratory infection while being boarded for so long, but no, she was great. Maybe a little bit of a belly, but hey, who doesn't end up with one of those over the holidays?
Not such good news about Big Boi, Nugget's guardian angel. The former BMOC (Big Man on Compound)acquired some injuries which have left him unable to use his right arm, paw or shoulder. I don't know if a car hit him or if someone kicked him.
No open wounds but he's definitely lost some Jagger swagga, poor guy. He hobbles on three paws to get around.
